IRC Sessions
In addition to this Web Site, IRC (Internet Relay Chat) is used extensively by the tt-radio Team. The sessions are conducted on Sundays at 2000 UT on Server IRC.caiw.nl, port 6667. The first few "training" sessions were conducted exclusively via IRC. These logs of these sessions are listed as follows:
Session 1 - This was the first time the tt-radio group gathered on IRC. The session mostly consists of discussion of the "feel" of operating on Ham Radio and an introduction to Q signals or abbreviations.
Session 2 - This session is devoted almost exclusively to the Q signals.
Session 3 - This session contains some "Ham talk" but is mostly chit-chat.
Session 4 - This session is devoted to discussion of a modern but inexpensive and simple Ham transceiver, the IC-707. It deals exclusively with the transceiver's display.
Session 5 - This is a continuation of Session 4, but concentrates on the transceiver's controls and under what conditions they would be used.
