May '04 Server Report

Aloha to all Board Members! Here is your server report for May 2004.
I must admit that not much has changed since the last report. As I mentioned
last month, I have met some interesting folks, but there has been no progress in
loading the software and getting the server on line. Everyone I chat with is
understanding & sympathetic but not forthcoming with any "donated" service to
help me install the server. I must admit, I am getting a bit discouraged, and
not sure what direction to take now. Any suggestions?

I understand that there are no funds available to pay anyone to get the server
up and running, and I certainly do not have the knowledge to undertake the task
on my own. The machine is in good shape, although getting a bit old. I still
believe it would be of good service to the group. I'm beginning to think that
the best course of action would be to send the server back to the "mainland" where a wider
variety of services and professionals are available. If the board agrees with
this idea, I would be willing to mail it and donate the expenses. I just feel
badly that it is not being used to it's fullest potential for the group.
Let me know the boards suggestions/decisions after the meeting. Sorry about
sounding discouraged, but I feel as though I have hit a brick wall. Best regards
